Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack for sports early, and discovered her ability to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. After that, she was accepted into at the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic prize at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s and set the new world junior record. She was the youngest world champion of 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007 beating her former Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked in the top three of athletes in her respective events.
